Canon Collins Thekgo: In 2019, in response to the new funding of Higher Education by the South African government, Canon Collins Thekgo Bursary is poised to provide enrollment funding for first-year students to provide scholarships that reduce student debt.

About the Award: Students who have completed their credentials / honors, but their degree / diploma credentials have been suspended due to debt owed to the university high, could apply for debt relief of up to R20,000 in the following cases:
Languages and Literature
Art (Digital Arts, Drama / Performance Studies, Arts Arts / Fine Arts, Image History, Film and Television Studies, Music)
By 2020 these grants will be awarded to undergraduate students who have lost at least one graduation degree and / or are not able to earn a degree due to outstanding credit. R20,000 with any general university in South Africa.

Eligibility: You must:
is a country that, or has a refugee status in any African country.
has completed undergraduate studies (three years or four years or a bachelor or bachelor) in a degree within Thekgo’s Focus in People program, listed above, at a public university in the South Africa.
has already missed a graduation ceremony and / or was not able to get the opportunity due to outstanding debt not to exceed the university’s R20,000.

Number of Offerings: We usually offer 5-7 packages per year depending on the number of applicants. The selection committee decides on the exact amount that will be made for each successful applicant.
