Obligations and duties:
The Transit Driver transports passengers in a wheelchair lift prepared bus or a 22-passenger bus in a safe and proficient way.
Obligations include: •
- Reviewing the bus every morning to guarantee safety and mechanical soundness and reporting abnormalities to the correct chief and the subsequent driver •
- Receiving calls from or calling the dispatcher for the duration of the day with respect to trip scratch-offs and new bookings which result in revamping the day by day timetable of transporting passengers •
- Gathering fares or tickets from every passenger and selling books of tickets as required •
- Stacking and emptying passengers in wheelchairs utilizing electric over water driven lift •
- Accompanying and verifying passengers in the bus by connecting seat belts or q-straint system •
- Getting ready every day trip sheet report and accommodating cash, tickets and ticket books sold •
- Getting ready bus for the following day by refueling, cleaning as required, leaving bus in verified territory and locking doors day by day •
- Work as a component of a group

Capabilities: •
- Least Class IV Driver’s Permit with clear Driver’s Dynamic for as far back as five years •
- Commonality with transporting passengers and with Yorkton roads •
- Capacity to physically move passengers in wheelchairs all over slopes and stairs •
- Astounding customer administration, time management, and documentation skills •
- General mechanical bent/knowledge •
- Ready to convey viably •
- Essential email skills; or ability to learn
- Last Competitors are required to give palatable criminal record checks including a powerless area search.
Compensation: Pay Class 12 (range of $17.39 – $21.25 per hour)
